Honor, Support, and Serve Our Veterans

Our Mission

To honor the veterans of the United States Armed Forces by developing innovative programs to assist the economic and social well-being of our veterans. We want to help shape the legacies of those enlisted now and in the future after their military service is complete.

Our Focus

Automotive Service Technician Training and Education

Today, America has a shortage of skilled labor – the workers who fix our plumbing, keep our homes cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and our lights and appliances operating.

Over the next four years, 400,000 jobs are available* for automotive service technicians who keep our cars and trucks running on our nation’s roads – that’s where we can help.

A resource that can address this shortfall exists locally – the roughly 20,000 service members discharged from active duty annually in North Carolina**.

The Veterans Legacy will fund the training of veterans to become Automotive Service Technicians in a veteran-centric environment.

  • Recruit transitioning veterans into an automotive service apprenticeship program
  • Complete the full training in twelve months to become ASE certified Master Service Technicians
  • Teams will learn from hands–on servicing and repair of consumer cars and commercial fleet vehicles
  • Guided and supervised by experienced Master Service Technicians
  • No cost apprenticeship
  • Earn a living wage while training
  • Job placement assistance for our service bay–ready auto service technicians
  • Provide additional instruction in financial literacy
